Trendy Tuesday: Patterns

There is no doubt that patterns are everywhere.
They are on jeans, shirts, and nails.  It seems that patterns are a serious trend that seems to work well in any season.  I am a huge fan of patterned jeans as well as patterns on nails. For fall, I love Fair Isle and animal prints.

I would say the key to any patterns/prints is to keep the rest of your look simple.  There are ways to mix prints and still look cute (seen here) but for the novice Fashionista (a.k.a. me) that seems a little too complicated.  If you are brave enough to try mixing patterns, the important thing is to stay in the same color family.
Nails are another fantastic way to incorporate patterns into your look.  Here are a few fun ideas taken from my Pinterest:
